Terms & Conditions

• Estimates are based on the information provided by the customer.
• Quotes may be hourly or flat-rate.
• Changes to inventory, locations, access, or services may result in additional charges.
• Final pricing may vary if the actual move differs from the original estimate.

• A deposit may be required to confirm your booking.
• Your booking is not guaranteed until the deposit is received.
• Deposits are applied to your final invoice unless otherwise stated.

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled move may receive a deposit refund.
• Cancellations within 48 hours may result in the loss of the booking deposit.
• Rescheduling is subject to availability.

We accept:

• Cash
• Debit
• Credit Card (3% processing fee)
• E-Transfer

All prices are subject to 5% GST unless otherwise stated. Payment is due immediately upon completion of the move unless other arrangements have been made.

Additional charges may apply for:

• Wait time
• Ferry fees
• Overnight accommodations
• Long carrying distances
• Extra labour requested by the customer
• Packing materials
• Disposal services
• Parking or building fees charged by third parties

Packing and unpacking services are available upon request.

Storage services are provided only through approved third-party storage partners.

Items such as pianos, safes, hot tubs, pool tables, fitness equipment, gun safes, large appliances, and antiques must be disclosed before moving day and may require additional labour or equipment.

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate move information.
• Reserving elevators or loading areas when required.
• Ensuring safe access to both locations.
• Disconnecting appliances unless otherwise arranged.
• Removing cash, jewelry, passports, medications, firearms, and other valuables before the move.

We will:

• Handle your belongings with reasonable care.
• Provide trained movers and professional equipment.
• Use appropriate furniture protection whenever practical.
• Perform services professionally and safely.

We will not transport:

• Hazardous materials
• Explosives
• Propane tanks
• Gasoline
• Illegal substances
• Firearms or ammunition unless previously approved
• Perishable goods unless agreed in advance

4 You Moving Services Ltd. maintains $2,000,000 Commercial General Liability Insurance.

Coverage is subject to the terms and limitations of our insurance policy and applicable law.

Customers must report any damage within 7 calendar days of delivery.

Claims should include photographs and a description of the damage.

Failure to report within seven days may result in denial of the claim.

We are not responsible for:

• Customer-packed box contents.
• Mechanical or electrical failure of appliances or electronics.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Furniture with existing structural weakness.
• Damage caused by undisclosed defects.
• Delays caused by weather, traffic, ferry schedules, road closures, or events beyond our control.

We are not liable for delays or service interruptions caused by natural disasters, severe weather, government actions, strikes, accidents, road closures, ferry delays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Customer information is used only to provide moving services, process payments, communicate regarding your booking, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
